Dear Brushy Creek residents.
In February 2025 we began a campaign to highlight a different trail within the District each month. Through this initiative, we aim to educate our residents about all the wonderful facets of our extensive and diverse trail system. In July, we are shining a light on the Great Oaks Median Trail:

Location/Parking: Parking is available at the Sendero Springs Pool. From there, visitors will walk down Pasada Lane and take a right on Sendero Springs Drive, walking to its intersection with Great Oaks Drive, where the trail begins along the median.
Description: This 0.9-mile, crushed granite and paved trail starts at Great Oaks Drive and Sendero Springs Road. It runs down the median of Great Oaks Drive and ends near the BCMUD Water Treatment Facility at Sam Bass Road.
Lighting: There is street lighting throughout the trail.
Special features: The Great Oaks Median Trail runs through Great Oaks Drive in the Sendero Springs neighborhood of Brushy Creek MUD. It is unique within the District because it is the only trail on a median in the center of a road. It is a perfect trail to enjoy the residential scenery, and it has access points to several other trails within the Sendero Springs trail network.
Difficulty level: We give this trail a difficulty level of easy.
Flora: Throughout the trail there are oak, cedar, and cedar elm trees, as well as succulents other manicured landscape.
Fauna: Wildlife spotted throughout the trail includes cottontail rabbits, jack rabbits, squirrels, rough earth snakes, fence lizards, opossums, and an occasional skunk.
Bicycle friendly: Yes.
